This will be my third year participating in Burien Arts Vision 20/20 fundraiser for Arts programing here in Burien Washington. Each artist received ten 8″ x 8″ wood panels to create on. I buried mine under our old fur tree for two weeks and now being inspired by that process…The event will happen on November 18th, 2017 at the Burien Community center 6:30pm-10:30pm, please come by if your near and say hi.
feeling the fall rain
I put these 10 panels for an upcoming arts fundraiser in November in the ground under the big fur tree in our yard for two weeks….
found some sticker paper at a thrift store, scanned some bits of drawings and doodles, you get 6 stickers on a page….
for mom
Made this installation for “Illuminated Orphans” show last night in Seattle, it was inspired by my mom who has passed 19 years ago.
She asked me once to make her a dress for my dad’s company picnic, I made her a long colorful dress from African fabrics.
My dad was embarrassed but she loved it and wore it to the event, there all the African ladies grouped around her and asked who made it.
She seemed to be happy to say it was her son.
52 years, I miss her so very much, I try to keep her close to me with the good memories we had together.
