Ways of Giving

The Art Center gladly accepts gifts toward specific programs or exhibitions that you are particularly passionate about, and is happy to recognize you or someone you would like to honor in connection with the program.

Some examples include:

• Support for an exhibition catalogue
• Sponsoring the Youth Art Board program for a year
• Airfare and lodging costs for an Artist-in-Residence
• Sponsorship for a free community event series like Second Sundays
• Scholarship support for free art classes for Chicago Public School students
• Support for an outreach program in a Chicago Public School
• Contributions toward an emerging Chicago artist’s career changing solo exhibition

The Art Center welcomes donations that can be used in its classrooms, camps or library.

If you have gently used art books, supplies, papers, photography equipment, etc. and would like to donate it to the Art Center, please print out this form and bring it to the Art Center along with your donation.

We hope you will continue showing your commitment to Chicago’s art and artists by making a contribution to the Art Center’s Annual Fund today. Your involvement helped us reach this pivotal moment and allows us to fill critical needs in Chicago’s support system for artists—youth and adult, novice to professional.

A donation of:

• $50 purchases art supplies that help one student—youth or adult—develop his/her skills in media like painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics or photography at our Oakman Clinton School and Studios—the only visual art school of such breadth on Chicago’s south side
• $100 covers supplies for one of the Art Center’s ongoing creative events like Second Sundays, which invites the entire family to explore their creativity through free art-making workshops led by teaching artists
• $250 allows one Chicago Public School student participating in our outreach programs to take an onsite art class through Art Access Awards, our program aimed at augmenting opportunities in the arts for underserved youth and their families
• $500 provides an Art Center teaching artist with a professional development workshop that enhances the quality and impact of art education both onsite and in Chicago Public Schools
• $1,000 buys materials that enable a talented local artist to present a career-changing exhibition at the Art Center
• $2,500 allows one Chicago High School student to participate in our team programs for one academic year

Any other amount allows the Art Center to remain free and open to the public seven days a week and reach over 45,000 youth, adults, students, artists and families each year.
